The May 1999 trip to Italy and Greece.

In May of 1999, 4 friends and I spent 2 weeks in Italy and Greece. While there, I kept a travel journal. These web pages are a distillation of that journal.

Travel journals are a bit chaotic by nature. I rarely found much time to write, usually a few hours on a bus or at a cafe. I also have a few badly scrawled entries that I wrote after coming back from an evening of wine and beer. Those entries are pretty heavily edited here.

The dates you see listed aren't actually the dates I'm writing about. Rather, the dates are actually the day that I was writing. So an entry for the 15th of May is probably about what happened on the 13th and 14th.
