New Year's Eve 2001 at Mt. Baker

After several trips to Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, we decided to try our luck at Mt. Baker. Although we didn't find the gnarly stashes of pow for which Baker is famous, we did have decent snow and a very comfortable cabin.

My camera is too bulky for the slopes, fortunately Forrest and Tamara brought theirs. The next three photos are from their online photo album.

After three days of snowboarding, New Year's Eve had finally arrived. Celebrations consisted of Champagne, wine, viciously competitive card games, and several batches of hot chocolate with Bailey's and Peppermint Schnapps.
